When I think of summer, I think of lazy days spent laying in a meadow looking up at the clouds and having picnics at the park. Summer meant loading up the carry basket and heading for the pool and the beach. Simple pleasures and family fun that made memories that have lasted a lifetime. Designing a summer camp program includes a lot of brainstorming on field trips and destinations. Think water fights, messy art projects, arts and crafts, roller skating and other sports, nature hikes, wagon rides and more. This is what we have planned for your child this summer! Just send a sack lunch and a drink and let’s go exploring!
Talking with our After School Club parents, they told us they wanted an affordable option for Summer Camp that included everything. They needed Early Care and After Care and tired of being charged extra and on top of camp fees and then extra for field trips, extra for this, extra for that. Talk about frustrating! I spent time researching area summer camps and found that registration was complicated and hard to figure out. Our pricing is the best that we can find for Summer Camp Palatine and our surrounding areas.
Orbit’s Kids Club Summer Camp designed to be simple and affordable. We are only taking 65 kids because we want a small ratio of campers to counsellors and our bus holds up to 65 kids and 7 staff. We like to get to know our kids, their likes and dislikes and each child is unique and different. Each of our 2 week sessions is filled with activities and our field trip days will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. Behind the rink we have a large green area that is part of the Salt Creek Park District. It is a great place for games and outdoor fun on days we aren’t on field trips to have picnics too! We are close to Twin Lakes with a huge playground and sand play area too!
Our Director, Ms. Judy Basich and her staff have been busy lining up field trips to wonderful places like Legoland, Chicago Museums and Thursdays (weather permitting) we will take on the challenge to visit as many water parks as possible in the Northwest Suburbs! We asked our After School Club kids where they would like to go on a field trip and we were met with a resounding “we want to help at Feed My Starving Children“. This is a 501(c)3 organization that pre-fills meal bags for starving children here in the United States as well as around the world. What wonderful children we have to know they want to spend part of their summer time helping others!
I hope you will think of us when you think about summer camp for your child grades K-6th, we’d love to have your family become part of ours!
