Disco music is making a huge comeback and even a new genre called New Disco is hitting the nightclubs and entertainment venues. Orbit Skate Center entertained thousands of disco skaters and we are bringing it back for one night, Saturday June 17th from 7pm – 11pm. Enjoy food and drink selections from the Cosmic Cafe and Galaxy Skybar! Great for all ages, bring your family and friends.

It’s that time of year again! We had the ugliest sweaters you ever saw last year including one fellow who wore his grandmother’s boiled wool sweater that was so small we wondered how he fit into it! This year we are combining Ugly Sweater Night with Retro Night – they just seem to go together right? Music of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and a contest for the ugliest sweaters on the planet. Thank Chevy Chase in National Lampoon for this fun tradition, so raid the Salvation Army, Goodwill and your Aunti’s closet to find the one that wins the prize!
Wayback Wednesdays has grown into a fun mid-week time for skaters of all ages to enjoy a night out. Can’t wait until the weekend to get together with friends and enjoy some mid-week fun? Meet up at the rink, the cafe and bar is open and everyone heads home at 9pm so you can still get up for work the next day. If you are using roller skating as your main fitness outlet, you’ll burn up to 600 calories per hour skating to great music from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s that everyone loves. Skating music has that beat that gets you movin and groovin to your retro favorites. Our DJ takes requests too!
A retro admission of only $5.00 is very affordable and skate rental is $3.00 if you need them. We have our regular and adult birthday party packages available on this session too. This session runs all year round and we hope to see you and your family or friends rolling in soon.
Our Ugly Sweater Saturday Night is something to remember! Combined with our Saturday 80’s Night sessions, it’s an event! Enjoy the best genre of skating music with our awesome DJ’s and contests for the ugliest sweaters anywhere and you have a fun night. All ages invited from 7-10pm and adults 17+ from 10pm-1am. Adults can arrive anytime and stay all the way through for only $8.00 per person! skate rental is always $3.00 if needed. If you think you have the ugliest sweater in Chicago, bring it on and let’s see what you’ve got! Last year, the winner was wearing his grandmothers boiled wool sweater shrunk so small he had to wear a T-shirt under it just to keep decently covered!
