Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah Parties at The Orbit
Becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a really special event and we'd like to help you celebrate with a meaningful and affordable party! Having a party for your friends is really what it's all about and there's nothing better than roller skating to bring out the fun in everyone. We have the DJ's, the lights, the music and the games built right in. Why pay more when it's all right inside our doors! Make a photo montage of your life and show it on our big screen video, included in the package. We make planning a bar or bat mitzvah party easy and affordable.
Our party prices are based on the number of people, the length and time of the event and also the time of year. If your bar/bat mitzvah is during the summer, we can be more flexible but we have many times available during the season if you give us enough notice.
The popular time spot is Saturday and Sunday afternoons 4:30-6:30pm and Sunday evenings 5:00pm-8:00pm.

We can have the Snack Bar open, provide a kosher style buffet with homemade pizza and Pepsi products, all beef kosher hotdogs, cotton candy, and many other treats.
We can accomodate big parties! Our floor is 200 feet by 100 feet solid maple.
We have a snack bar area, with prep areas, warmers, clean up and sanitation areas and have had everything from omelet stations to make your own sundae bars!
You have the option of bringing your own caterer, balloon designer, face painter, DJ's and get as extravagant as you wish, it's up to you. Any outside vendors must meet with our staff beforehand and there's a $100 fee per vendor to be paid by the vendor to the rink prior to the day of the event. For a list of approved vendors that we have worked with and recommend, ask our staff when you speak to them about your event.
Stages & Live Bands
If you want to have a live band or any kind of stage at the rink, make sure the company knows that they must bring carpet to put under their stage to protect the wood floor. We do have a small stage and lots of electricity at the back corner by the big Orbit sign.
We can also arrange to have a stage set up for you by Savage Entertainment, as well as provide all the tables, seating, DJ's, professional montages, inflatables and party extra's. Visit their website to see more.
You can have part of the floor for skating and part for dancing. We cannot have stiletto heels out on the skating surface, they put tiny dents in the floor.
Saturday Night Parties
While we realize that Saturday nights are popular for Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations, the Orbit is extremely busy on Saturday nights too with regular skaters that come from out of state and far distances to skate every week.
Occasionally we will sacrifice a Saturday night session if a family cannot do the party any other night but it depends on the time of year. Starting costs for the entire rink on a Saturday night begin at $7,500 rental.
