Moments on the Merry-Go-Round of Life


The Ides of August, we skated down the aisle.
Because of him, life is a keen, sweet smile.
I still remember our first kiss.
He closed his eyes too soon and would have missed,
except for my gentle hands which guided him to my lips.

Heart of Glass


Wings of stainless steel. the days' soul mate.
The Ides of April, marked the date.
The tough deviate streets of Buffalo Grove marked the skate.
The destination was the place.
where the freight elevator gate and the street meet.
With stainless steel wings upon the feet.
The elevator, a sturdy and true vertical wagonette,
A welcome contrast to the streets deviation.
