Teaching Staff at Orbit Skate Center
Roger Wampach is a retired physics teacher. He also happens to be a roller skating teacher with over 40 years of teaching experience! He is the head of the teaching program at Orbit Skate Center working with adults and children of all ages. He has consulted with two nationally recognized physics professors and put together the Newton KnewIT! program to show how physics apply to our everyday life in a format that children can grasp. Initially started at a successful rink in Massachusetts, the program has been enhanced and brought into line with even more in depth exploration of Newton's Laws. Put Newton's laws and skating together and you have our new Newton Knew IT! Program.
Bill Siglasky has been teaching under the supervision of Roger Wampach for years at Orbit Skate Center. He has been a skater at Orbit for many years and part of the skating family. His quiet demeanor allows him to work with the youngest children and instill a sense of confidence.
Joy has been a skating teacher for many years at various rinks and works with the Saturday Beginners Class, the Drop In Class and the Thursday 6pm Class before the organ music sessions. She has vast experience and her cheery outlook encourages skaters to try their best.
