Are you a beginner skater that can barely roll forward without holding onto the wall for dear life? Or have you never been on skates but have always wanted to learn? Or are you already a master skater who just needs some help in a couple of areas? Or maybe you just have a toddler (or two!) and want them to learn to love rollerskating like you do?
Whichever you are, Orbit Skate Center has the perfect class for you! There are several options every Saturday morning.
If you have never skated before, or only have learned to roll forward, consider the “Beginner” or “Intermediate” class offered from noon until 1:00 pm. The “Beginner” class covers standing and balancing on skates, beginning forward marching, and getting on and off the rink. The “Intermediate” class covers gliding on one foot, balanced pushing, skating backward, and advanced stopping.
If you can already skate well and would like some additional help, there are two classes offered from 11:00 am to noon. The “Advanced” class, covers skills like turning backward, crossovers, and shuffle techniques. The other class offered at this time is for adults only! The Adult class covers skills based on the abilities of each student.
If you have kids aged 10 and under, who don’t know how to skate, and you want to be out on the floor with them in your tennis shoes, we have something for you as well! The Saturday morning “Tiny Tot Skate ‘N’ Play” where you can play, skate, and dance.
So you no longer have the excuse that you don’t know how to skate—if you can walk forward and backward with balance, you can learn to roller skate! You don’t need to register ahead of time, and there isn’t anything to purchase in advance. Just pick the class that works best for you and show up! For more information visit www.orbitskatecenter.net.
